Wind Energy's Impact on Land Value: an interview with Kathleen McKenzie Owen

KathleenMcKenzieOwen

(Originally produced for Texas Rural Land News & Review which merged with The Texana Review in March 2008)

Kathleen McKenzie Owen has been counseling rural land buyers and sellers since the mid-1980s and has enjoyed quite a bit of success in the process.  She’s one of those who returns what she has been provided by her business efforts back to her business.

She says she's retired, but she still instructs for the Realtors Land Institute. And most recently, she has taken on the job of Chairperson of the Resorts and Second Homes Committee for the National Association of Realtors.

Ms. Owen holds the ALC designation from the Realtor’s Land Institute and with her many years of experience in rural land brokerage in Texas, she offers some interesting insights into wind energy development in the state.
