Biography
After 30 years in the real estate business, a sometimes journalist and a Texas history buff by heredity, I made a career change and, presto!, here we go with The Texana Review.
Hello! I’m Ed Blackburn. The Texana Review has been years in the making. I’ve been sleeping on it since 1994 when I took a sabbatical from the real estate brokerage and appraisal business to join the Internet world. Back then, I called it Tejas. I had minor success with the site then, but that wasn’t surprising since it was a garage start-up and America didn’t really know about the Internet until 1996. By then, I had taken a real job heading up an Internet effort by the CBS affiliate in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.
Anyway, there’s more to the story, but that’ll come later. Perhaps I’ll return to this page and “flesh it out” after I get The Texana Review up and running. You’re welcome to help. Come back often and give me suggestions.
